Hamilton
House is a Delightful Victorian Town House Bed and Breakfast.

of Wight
Ferryports, Historic Ships, University, Guildhall/City Centre, Train/Coach
Stations, Gunwharf Quay, and all the Tourist Attractions that Portsmouth,
and its Seaside resort of Southsea has to offer.
Originally a Gentleman's Residence built in 1879, Hamilton House has
been carefully renovated and is now a fine Bed and Breakfast, with
all
modern facilities but retaining many of the original features. |

colour co-ordinated, with remote control colour TVs,
clocks, hairdryers, air cooler fans and generous tea
and coffee courtesy trays. Ensuite rooms have their
own shower / toilets and the Standard rooms share

is just 1.6 miles from the house and takes approximately 5 minutes by
car.
For mid-day and evening meals there is a wide variety of restaurants,
cafes and pubs in
the city, some just 5 minutes walk from Hamilton House. English and many
foreign
restaurants cater for all tastes.
Hamilton House, although not next to anything, is not far from everything.
HMS Victory, the Mary Rose, HMS Warrior and the Naval Museums are situated
in the
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Gunwharf Quays, the Boardwalk Waterfront, boasting many designer outlet
shops, restaurants,
bars and a 14 screen multiplex cinema.
The D-Day Museum, Southsea Castle, Sea-Life Centre and the Royal Marines
Museum are
just some of the places to visit along Southsea Sea Front.
Charles Dickens Birthplace, City Museums, Portsmouth Cathedral and numerous
Churches are
at various points around the city.
The main shopping centres are within easy walking distance or 5 minutes
by buses, which run
to all parts of the city from nearby.
All of the above are under 5 minutes by car from Hamilton House.
We are an excellent touring base for Southern England, being on the main
routes for places
such as London, Winchester, Southampton, Stonehenge, New Forest, Bath,
Brighton and
Chichester etc. Trains to London are an easy option for a day visit, as
there are 3 fast trains
each hour, which take just 90 minutes should you choose to come for a
day, a week or longer

£32.00 to £35.00 per person per night Bed and Breakfast in Ensuite Rooms.
Children are welcome at reduced rates, sharing in either type of room with 2
Adults.
We have no single rooms but offer a double/twin room at reduced rate for
single occupancy. |
