Bangkok Cafe is an excellent Thai restaurant with a lovely menu, freshly cooked food and
Atmosphere with friendly helpful staff.
Fu Ho Chinese Restaurant, which serves a variety of Chinese and English foods in a
pleasant and friendly atmosphere at reasonable cost.
A Fistful of Tacos Mexican Restaurant for authentic Mexican food, steaks and burgers.
Bar for cocktails and drinks in pleasant, colourful surroundings.
The Vines/Wine Vaults Wine Bar this wine bar serves real ale and excellent value food
chosen from the Blackboard. Specialities of the day include a soft/alcoholic drink of your
choice in the price.
Nemrut Restaurant serves tasty Kurdish Turkish classic cuisine, choose from a selection
of mezés, grill dishes and specialities. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Kingfishers Fish and Chip Restaurant. Take away at the front and restaurant at the back.
In the summer there is a pagoda garden open, if you like to eat 'al fresco'.
Eastern Eye, Standard Tandoori, Golden Crown and The Balti House Indian Restaurants
are just a few of the many Indian type Restaurants in this road all serve excellent value
meals at a nominal price. All serve English food and Vegetarian choices.
Goose at V&A and Blonde are just two of the Pubs along Albert Road and these serve
good value English meals during the day and early evening.

ELM GROVE
Rosita's European Cuisine Restaurant. Family run offering some of the finest cuisine in
Portsmouth. Al a Carte menu plus daily specials in a friendly relaxing atmosphere.
Tangs Chinese/Cantonese Restaurant. Excellent food, quite expensive for families but well
worth the price for a special meal.
Fat Jacques, known locally as Touchdown American Diner. They serve US steaks, burgers,
chicken, fish and vegetarian meals; they also offer special children's menu at £3.00. Friendly
lively atmosphere, good size portions, families particularly welcomed. Early Bird Specials
Rosies Vineyard wine bar, serves French bistro type meals from Al la Carte menu and
Blackboard Specials. Good choice of wines and often there is a Jazz group playing.

Still and West and Spice Island Inn two of the pubs in Old Portsmouth. Both on the end
of the Point by the Harbour, both serve real Ales and English pub food, restaurants are
very pleasant, as boats sailing in and out the Harbour can be viewed whilst dining.
Truffles, Bistro Montparnasse and Kitchen D'or are all fine French Restaurants in Southsea,
mostly Table d'hôte Menus of 3-5 courses. Good for a long evening of dining and talking
with friends.
Fatty Arbuckles American Diner, Palmerston Road area offering steaks, burgers, chicken
and vegetarian meals at reasonable cost, early bird specials here and special children
(up to 11 years) menu.
Kumpan Thai Restaurant, Palmerston Road area, also The White Room opposite South
Parade Pier serving authentic Thai food at reasonable prices.
